 NVMT ANNOUNCES 2011 PRODUCTION! THE MUSIC MAN!
It’s time for a classic! And so Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre is pleased to announce one of the best-known and classic American musical comedies of all time as our show selection for Spring, 2011… THE MUSIC MAN! Probably the very best example of Musical Theatre Americana, this lively show by Meredith Willson has been called “as American as apple pie and a Fourth of July oration”. With nearly a dozen full, male, female and specialty chorus numbers combined with a flawless, rhythmic score and wonderful story, THE MUSIC MAN speaks of the grand optimism of the American spirit! The script calls for a large and diverse cast with many featured parts as well as townspeople of all ages – adults, teens and children. The "happiest musical of them all" will be presented in early April, 2011 at the State Theatre of Pennsylvania, the BUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE in New Hope, PA! Please plan to join us as over 35 talented local singers, dancers and actors carry on the fifty plus years of Neshaminy Valley Music Theatre tradition of professional grade musical theatre! Once again NVMT is both pleased and proud to present our 2011 show at the State Theatre of Pennsylvania, THE BUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE! Performances will take place at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA in early April, 2011. Our thanks and appreciation to Ralph Miller, owner and operator of the Bucks County Playhouse, for his continued support of the Music Theatre. NVMT is most pleased to announce Stephen Casey, Artistic Director of the Bucks County Playhouse, as Director and Choreographer for THE MUSIC MAN! Stephen has directed and choreographed the Music Theatre's last six productions and we look forward to his adding his special flair and excitement for another spectacular show!
We’re also very pleased to have MICHAEL ZWEIG returning as Music Director and RITA ENDERS as Assistant Director. We truly are blessed with having such a great directing team! We appreciate them all and anticipate working once again with Stephen, Rita and Michael in creating another great NVMT production! NVMT AWARDS $5000 IN GRANTS NVMT is most proud to announce that the Music Theatre has awarded $5000 in scholarship grants for 2010.
