Cameron Krauss

NVMT is most proud and pleased to award this year’s Evelyn McLean Scholarship to Cameron Krauss. Majoring in Musical Theatre this coming fall at Rider University, Cameron maintained a 3.9 grade point average in high school while taking advanced placement courses. He was a member of the NHS Select Choir as well as a member in the NHS Roadies, the top vocal and drama groups in the district. Cameron was also an officer for the PA Thespian Conference.

It was when Cameron was just five years old that he saw his first Broadway show – coincidentally, Mary Poppins – that inspired him to follow a path to theatre. Since then, he has worked to develop what his vocal teacher and mentor describes as “an incredible singer... an outstanding

actor, performer, pianist, musician...”

Besides his school studies, his drama club activities and portraying lead roles in all of the NHS musicals, Cameron also is accompanist at the Langhorne Presbyterian Church. Cameron was selected for Best Performance in an Ensemble for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards. Called “the Tony Award for teenagers” the Jimmy competition is presented by the Broadway League Foundation and draws high school performers from over 1800 high schools throughout the nation. Our heartfelt congratulations to Cameron!
